Marie R. Clare, age 90, died peacefully at her Florida home on July 8. The daughter of the late William A. and Corinne T. Stauble, she was born on June 4, 1925 in the Bronx. Judith S. Bloch

Obit_Bloch_ABloch, Judith S., activist in the field of early childhood special education, died on June 15, 2015. She was 86. Bloch was the Founder of Variety Child Learning Center (VCLC) in Syosset and was the Chief Executive Officer for 42 years. Upon her retirement in 2008, the executive board named the school the “Judith S. Bloch School” in her honor. Joan M. Bebry

Joan M. Bebry of Brookville passed away on March 3, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Edw Bebry, M.D. Loving mother of J. Scott(Susan), James(Rosemary), Andrew(Susan) and the late Peter(Janet). Cherished grandmother of Lauren, Pamela, Alexandra, James, Julia, Lydia, Joseph, Christopher and Tina. Denise & Maya the best two companions in the world. Her grandfather was Giuseppe Genovese. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving companion, Denise. She was a restauranteur and real estate developer. She owned and managed her real estate in Astoria and Suffolk County.

She was the first female to own an Italian restaurant on the East Coast, Villa Ciro, in 1962, Bayville. Her claim to fame was built in 1969, Capriccio Restaurant, Jericho, NY, world renowned, with the late partner, Marcello Fiorentino. It was the first 4-Star restaurant for 13 years in the USA, food critic, Craig Clayborne. Caracalla with partner Chef owner Vincenzo Della Torre, Syosset, NY. Partners in LaCamelia, Tre Scalini, Rainbow Room, NYC. She was the President and founding member of the Brookville Park Foundation. She was an avid gardener of orchids, African violets and vegetables with hundreds of awards. She was a member of the Syosset Garden Club. Thank you dear ladies for the many wonderful times we had.
